I can’t really explain why I happen to be so different. Most of my friends and the people around me like pop. For unknown reasons, I just found myself settling for blues. Maybe it is because I am soft spoken. But that still can’t explain why I fell for this music genre so deeply. I clearly remember the multiple numbers of times that I have been scolded and teased by close associates. Are you on love? Aren’t you man? But that has never changed a single thing in me.
For me, it is all about the passion and the slow magical rhythms with which the blues come. It is for this love of blues that I found my way into music performance. At first it was for fun then I discovered the talent was much deep within me. I realized that there was more to it than just going through a couple of albums daily. Maybe that explains my huge music library just composed of blues albums. That can also explain better why I can sing great hits of famous Blues artist like Dave Alvin, Phil Alvin, Ruthie Foster, Charlie Musselwhite and the rest. It’s in the blood; that’s all I know.
