Can you still figure out your first few encounters with the piano? Can you still figure out how it was handling the piano? I wouldn’t say my experience was a hilarious one, but it is worth remembering anyway. The passion for playing this fantastic instrument lies in our blood line.
From a tender age, I would sit by the family piano and listen to my mom play the chords. It was all glorious and I can bet those will remain to be some of my best memories. I would move close by here every time I hear the tunes. Soon enough, she realized my passion and one day as she was playing her best tunes, she signaled me to move closer. She told me to sit straight with my back unbent at the piano with my short legs hanging loosely over the floor. I didn’t the piano lessons had begun till I was told about the 88 piano keys. I was all excited and that very day, I learned how to place my hands on the key as my thumbs found its way playing the middle C.
For the next couple of days, I was full of excitement as my tutor mom took me through the basics. Fifteen years later, I am grateful that I didn’t give up because playing piano has become part and parcel of me.
